i must not like fences.
or hats.
or throwing hats over fences.
or something.
because
i've started
bulldozing.
the fence
the hat
and all.
the following events were precipitated
by a lovely visit with my friendly doctor
who told me most firmly
that i must...SLOW DOWN.
so i am.
1. I resigned from assistant directing Midsummer Night's Dream. (Doctor's orders.)
2. I changed my major (again, I know) to Creative Writing. I can graduate sooner, with fewer credits, no 10 hr/week rehearsal requirements, and many more...you guessed it...writing classes.
3. I'm writing a play to be presented to Mr. Stegall on Wednesday (yikes!). This project of my choosing is the culmination of a semester-long study of Arthur Miller.
Bye-bye fences!
1. wow. that is major. major major.
2. no pun intended, but " " " " "
3. excellent.
This will be a wonderful time in your file...I mean life. I mean....who's your doctor?

And I'm sure she'd love to help you with your speech impediment.
Good! I'm glad. I've recently been surveying my schedule, my sememester, and what that's done to me, and have had some serious questions for myself. (after doing a quick count--33 work hours, 10 class hours, and an average of about 9 hours at church or church related things, and i've topped 50 hours without starting any homework or wife time. perhaps there's a reason i'm so tired...) at any rate, i definitely think some bull dozing is quite a good thing.
and as for changing things in life, this whole Master's switch has made me view things much differently. while it's not good to be changeable and unstable in one's decisions, neither is it a sign of any great spiritual quality to stubbornly continue a course of action that doesn't seem to match the subtle directions and principles the Lord's been bringing into one's life.
so all of that pretty much to say, i hope you don't feel any...shame at changing things, and if you do, that you can be reminded as i have been that as for God, His way is perfect, and the fear of man always brings a snare.
